Description: "09/14/2001: Rocks were thrown through windows at the Ar-Rah Man Quran Learning Centre in Mississauga, Ontario. The attack smashed the glass and was accompanied by a note bearing hate messages stuck to the doorframe. Four individuals, including one young offender, were charged with mischief over $ 5,000 in the incident. In a second attack, the following night (09/15/2001) the glass door of the Learning Centre was smashed and there was an attempt to set a garbage can alight. Repairs to the damage translated into a loss of 10 days of religious classes for the 72 children who attend the centre. These attacks are assessed as a backlash in response to the events of September 11th in the U.S."
